The Barometer Leadership Coalition

The Barometer Leadership Coalition is an international group of experts in the field of retinal disease, vision, and aging, which was established in 2018. The Leadership Coalition aims to overcome barriers facing patient adherence to and persistence with recommended anti-vascular endothelial growth factor treatment by developing evidence-based interventions to optimize care and, ultimately, to improve long-term patient outcomes.

The Ambassador Committee

The Ambassador Committee was established in 2024 under the governance of the Barometer Leadership Coalition. The Ambassador Committee aims to leverage the insights generated by the Barometer Global Survey to inform meaningful interventions and to address challenges among patients and peers identified in ​the research.

Partner Organizations

The Barometer Program is managed by clinical leaders in ophthalmology, as well as representatives from the International Federation on Ageing (IFA), the International Agency for Prevention of Blindness (IAPB), and Bayer. The Barometer Program works in collaboration with expert-led groups, such as the Vision Academy. These initiatives are united in their commitment to advancing optimized, patient-focused care.
